Through the business service at Grup Oliva Motor, we offer three different ways to acquire your vehicle: buying, long-term rental and leasing. Each option has its own features and advantages, allowing you to acquire your car in the way that best suits your circumstances. Below, we explain the three options and outline the general features, ownership, maintenance requirements and advantages of each:

  • Buying

Features: Buying is the most traditional way to acquire a car. It involves paying the full price of the vehicle upfront or through a loan that is repaid in instalments.

Ownership: When purchasing the vehicle, the buyer acquires full legal ownership from the outset.

Maintenance: The buyer is responsible for maintenance, repairs and costs associated with the vehicle throughout its useful life.

Advantages: The buyer has complete freedom to customise and modify the vehicle as they wish. There are no restrictions on the number of miles driven or the length of time the vehicle is used.

  • Long-term rental (Renting)

Features: Long-term rental is a rental arrangement involving a monthly payment for the use of the vehicle over a set period, usually several months or years.

Ownership: Ownership of the vehicle remains with the rental company. The lessee, who is the customer, only has the right to use it during the contract.

Maintenance: The rental company is responsible for the vehicle's maintenance, repairs and insurance, allowing the customer to avoid unexpected costs and simplify fleet management.

Advantages: Long-term rental offers a comprehensive and convenient solution, as it includes additional services such as roadside assistance and a replacement vehicle in the event of a breakdown. When the contract ends, the customer can renew the fleet with newer and more efficient vehicles.

  • Leasing (with purchase option)

Features: Leasing is a medium-term contract that combines elements of long-term rental and buying. The lessor (leasing company) provides the vehicle to the lessee in exchange for a monthly payment over a set period.

Ownership: Unlike long-term rental, leasing offers the option to purchase the vehicle at the end of the contract by paying a previously agreed residual payment. If the lessee decides to exercise this option, they acquire full ownership of the vehicle.

Maintenance: The lessee is usually responsible for maintaining and repairing the vehicle during the contract period.

Advantages: Leasing allows you to try the vehicle for a set period before deciding whether to purchase it outright. It may also offer tax benefits for businesses, as leasing payments may be deductible as operating expenses.

In summary, buying gives you full ownership of the vehicle from the outset, long-term rental offers a complete solution for using a vehicle without maintenance worries, and leasing combines rental with the option to purchase the vehicle at the end of the contract. Each option has its pros and cons, and the choice will depend on the needs and preferences of the customer or business, as well as the company's financial and operational objectives.
