The BMW iX, the new technological flagship of the BMW Group, is ready to go into series production.

The BMW iX M60 will come later, with more than 440 kW / 600 hp and even more dynamic all-wheel drive; combined electricity consumption: 21.6 kWh / 100 km (WLTP), CO2 emissions 0 g / km (expected values according to the current state of development of the vehicle).

What's more, the First BMW iX redefines the successful Sports Activity Vehicle concept. Powerful proportions, with the exterior length and width of the BMW X5, the height of the BMW X6 and the dimensions of the wheels of the BMW X7.
The visually striking BMW double kidney grille, vertically enhanced and almost fully embedded, serves as an intelligence panel with integrated camera and radar technology. Extremely slim LED headlights and taillights, embedded and electronic door handles, reversing assist camera with tilt system integrated into the BMW logo on the tailgate. The Sport Package and BMW Individual Exterior Line Titanium is available as an option.
Newly developed interior architecture. The vehicle has been designed from the inside out. Luxurious and pleasant atmosphere created thanks to its spaciousness, a slim instrument panel, newly developed seats with integrated head restraints and an extraordinarily large panoramic glass roof with electrochromic dimming. The absence of the central tunnel creates additional legroom and storage areas, as well as a center console that looks like a high-quality piece of furniture.
Newly designed control panel with sensor bars and touch active haptic input, gear selector and touch controller with glass effect finish. The hexagonal steering wheel makes its debut on a standard BMW model. BMW Head-Up Display with frameless projector integration.
There are three design variants to choose from: Atelier as standard, which has Sensatec surfaces; Loft, which provides high-quality fabrics and microfiber and an instrument panel with a printed color gradient; and the Suite finish, which includes natural leather surfaces.

The principle of bespoke design of electric motors dispenses with the need for rare earth metals. Controlled, transparent and sustainable extraction of cobalt and lithium for the high voltage battery.
Finally, extensive use of secondary raw materials, natural and recycled materials: high proportion of recycled aluminum and plastic. The use of chrome has almost been eliminated, FSC certified wood, leather tanned with olive leaf extract, floor coverings and carpets made from recycled fishing nets.
