We have all considered them as electric cars became something more and more common. We have seen them in the electric stations and we have asked ourselves: "How long does it take to charge?" If a mobile phone takes about two and a half hours and a computer takes about one hour in a car, which is larger, the process will be longer. Nothing is further from reality. The Honda e recharges in less time than any smartphone, computer or activity bracelet. A feature that has undoubtedly contributed to the successes accumulated by the model and its nomination as Best Urban Car of 2021.
The fastest charge
Just 31 minutes after the “Low Battery” warning is triggered. It is all that the Honda e battery requires to reach an 80% charge thanks to the improvement in technology and a 50 kW fast charging system, available at any service station and at electric stations located near supermarkets . The loading speed exceeds that of any everyday tech gadget. Neither the smartphone, nor the laptop, nor the bracelet or activity watch nor the Bluetooth headphones take less than an hour to complete the charge.
Any of our electronic devices take longer to charge than the Honda e. Laptops would be the ones to follow in speed. Its batteries have improved dramatically and not only last longer, but they charge faster - an hour is more than enough. Behind the computer are the activity bracelets and smart watches, which need an hour and a half. Bluetooth headsets require two hours and finally the mobile phone, between two and a half and three hours to get a 100% charge.
